We had a great weekend, except Kris ended up sick with this weird illness. Really bad pain mid-way down his back and across to the front of his rib,s and this feeling of having to go to the bathroom. I wanted to take him to the emergency room but being Kris he wouldn't do it. I had it yesterday, but immediately took a Gas-X, two asprins, and a heating pad, oh yeah a Rolaids because I had really bad acid. It lasted about an hour and then I was fine WHEW because tomorrow bright and early I leave for Ohio with Beth and Ellen for Knitter's Connection.
I at first thought it had to with his tick bite, he was bit almost two weeks ago now by a Lone Star tick. He asked me to scratch his back, lifted shirt, and there it was (they really love this this year). I removed it, it was already inflamed around the area about the size of a 50 cent piece, it was fast. The next day around 4 he called and said he was going to go to the doctor's office in Chapel Hill to see if they take walk-ins. He said it hurt and was really inflamed, red and going under his arm. I met him there as he was coming out (I was in town) and he showed it to me. OMG was it ever inflamed. They put him on doxycycline as she suspects Lyme's.
Saturday I completely forgot about a training session I was to attend but remembered about a new antique shop, Roxy Farms Antique shop opening in Saxapahaw. Yeah priorities LOL. I found this set,
a set of 5 dinner plates, 1 salad plate, 7 tea cups, creamer and sugar, 1 bowl, and 1 divided dish. A few of the cups are chipped so I placed votives inside. I picked up the whole set for $12.00, yes that period is in the right spot. Believe me, after going through Daniel Boone antique shop in Hillsborough I felt like I had a deal. Checking Replacements the sugar bowl with lid is $37.00, so I guess I did pretty good. I just love the pattern, a soft yellow with roses and gold trim. I have noticed there is another set with different markings, the same brown but with a green symbol, and the desciptions say occupied Japan, not sure what the difference is between mine that just says made in Japan.

This is part of the setting, I set up the rest on our breakfast nook in the dinette. We had Indian food that I picked up from Trader Joe's, love that place. Curried chicken with brown basamati rice, garlic naan, wontons, yes I know they are Chinese but sooo good, a dipping sauce, with pink lemonade and I made Jasmine green tea YUM!!! I will keep my eye out for more pieces but I will definitely not pay those high prices. If I find them I find them, it was meant to be.
Okay off to finish laundry and pack for tomorrow.
Hugs!!!
Namaste!!!!!

Odd, I thought I posted to this...
Sounds like Dad is getting the start of a kidney stone. Start drinking water, cause the first time the pain in the back goes away, that sucker is on the move and might need some pressure to flush out the whole way, and thats when the real pain starts!
