Dang I had a post all written and saved as a draft and POOF! it disappeared. Oh well, I'll start over, I am getting use to that and maybe the universe is trying to show me it is okay to start over.
Family... I am trying to think of another word besides family. Can people who are actually my Dad's cousins, one I met for a total of 5 minutes about 5 years ago, another I rarely see, except for the obligatory funeral, wedding or marking anniversary parties, be called family. Can people who treat you like an outlaw/criminal be considered family? To me family isn't just about blood lines, it is about special relations. Heck I have friends I consider family so why would I consider these people family? Well I finally made a decision and told two of them that I do not want them contacting me at all by phone only through the estate lawyer.
I want to start living my life again. I do not deal with stress correctly, as I am sure a lot of us don't. I tend to back away from life when I am stressed and go into this shell and stay there. Stress flares up two out of the three illnesses I suffer from; hidradenitis and the fibro. I don't sleep at night, which is bad because I have a hard time as it is with my fibro., so you can imagine how bad it is when I am stressed. I am trying to figure out a better way to deal with stress. I do meditate but monkey mind goes crazy when I am stressed and it is hard.
Ok so back to the crafting, as I have managed to do some. I finished the February Ladies sweater to here are some pictures.
This was a fun knit as it is done in one piece so no seaming. You put the sleeve stitches on scrap yarn and come back to them when you are done with the body. I used Debbie Bliss' Cashmerino and it is so yummy soft. The sweater is on my the dress dummy my kind Mom gave to me last year.
I also made Azzu's Shawl another very easy knit. This is Loopy Ewe's sock club of the month that I purchased while at St. Louis during the Fling. I started the pattern for the scarf that came with it but I was not thrilled with how it looked.
I am also working on a little quilt for Kristoffer. My first!
I am also embellishing a t-shirt for him.
I'll try to have pictures of the quilt tomorrow.
Hugs!!!
Namaste!!!

I was so pleased you had visited my post. This is my first visit to yours as well. Your writing skills are fine to me. Of course, I have none, but enjoy what others feature. Money is the root of all evil. You really find out things about your family and friends at a death than any other time. Money and greed has broken up many a family. I have been through it way too many times and I hope no more. Relax and try focusing on your handwork. It is not easy.
