An email I sent off to Food Lion's corporate customer service center:
I am just coming home from shopping at Food Lion. My cashier was friendly and we chatted about the Susan G. Koman candle I was purchasing. When I was through she told me to have a nice weekend and I said "You too." I took about five steps away from the register and another Food Lion Employee (Kevin, I saw his badge) approached the cashier and in a snotty tone mockingly said "Yoooou tooooo." I turned and looked because I could't believe my ears. They then proceed to laugh and whisper amongst themselves.
My husband was with me and told me to go back into the store and complain otherwise I would stew over this all day. As I headed back and towards that register the assistant manager was approaching me. I asked him if he was the manager and he said no 'the assistant manager.' I told him I had just been through this register, I pointed at the register, and proceeded to tell him what happened and pointed out the boy who did this. The A.M. was giving me this look like are you serious, then says 'are you sure it was him,' Like he didn't believe me, not as a clarification statement. I said "yes the boy with the little moustache thing, Kevin." Again he looked at me strangely and kept staring at me. I just stood there shaking and not knowing what else to say just stood there. I couldn't believe this was happening. The Assistant Manager was acting as if I was making all this up. I am not a little girl I am a 45 year old woman, why would I lie about a situation that just happened 3 minutes in your store?
Finally he said "I will take care of it." But something told me that he was not going to do a thing about it. As my husband and I passed by the big glass windows in our car, you could still see Kevin with the cashier chatting away.
I guess this is the week to deal with CS, but wait until I post what happened at Michael's I'll save that for later
